Founded in 2024, Afterlight is a memorial candle and gift brand born out of a deeply personal journey. Our mission is to help people honor their loved ones and navigate grief through meaningful, tangible keepsakes that celebrate the connections that shape us.
How it all started
In 2012, I lost my little brother to cancer. As a designer, I used my creativity to craft memorial pieces that honored his memory and helped me heal. These small acts of remembrance made it possible to move forward, day by day and year by year, reminding me that even in the depths of loss, there is a path toward healing and learning how to live without the people you love.
In 2024, the idea for Afterlight sparked after a heartfelt conversation with friends about the challenges of loss. A few days later, it became clear: I could create something deeply personal yet universal to bring light to life's darkest moments. And so, Afterlight was born.
